Collaborative Editing in Excel for Office Insider on the Slow ring. With this new Build 17.8067 of the Office apps on Windows Mobile, Insiders will now be able to insert links to files and websites in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint as well as collaborate on files in Excel.

The Office apps on Android have also updated to Build 16.0.8027.1002 with the same updates as Windows Mobile.

Collaborative Editing essentially allows for more than one user to work on a single document at the same time with all changes being synced through the cloud. “You and your colleagues can open and work on the same Excel workbook,” Microsoft explains. “This is called co-authoring. When you co-author, you can see each other’s changes quickly — in a matter of seconds. And with certain versions of Excel, you’ll see other people’s selections in different colors.”
